About the Mind Flex Tutoring Program

Essential Responsibilities

Provide tutoring to youth in the home or a public location.
Ongoing assessment of the skills of each student.
Participate in staff and additional training meetings as needed.
Complete all paperwork pertinent to tutoring services in a timely manner.
Enter tutoring session information online promptly after session is completed.
Be prompt and prepared in attending all scheduled sessions.
Provide regular updates and feedback to project coordinator.
Communicate with parents/guardians to keep a consistent tutoring schedule and update them on student progress.

Essential Qualifications

Minimum of (15) semester units, or equivalent, with core requirements (Math, Language Arts and Sciences) completed with a minimum 2.5 GPA (a transcript copy will be required).
Previous experience tutoring or working with youth preferred.
Able to provide positive role model for youth and capable of relating to youth.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and check in with supervisor.
Must have own transportation, valid driver's license, willingness to travel to tutoring locations.
Must have easy access to a computer and the internet.
Employment is contingent on passing a Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint background check and obtaining a passing Tuberculosis (TB) Test.
